VOLUME 9 - Product Description


The message of the moment concerns antichrist and the apostasy in the church groups.

Antichrist sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is god.  II Thess. 2

Churches have cast aside many scriptures, removing the restraint that was holding antichrist back from the churches.

Men marry divorced women.  Divorced women remarry, even hunting a Christian man to marry at the church in the singles class.  Men divorce faithful wives and remarry.  Adultery flourished at the church groups.

This is the apostasy of the end times and it is in the churches.

Mt. 5:32 ... Jesus said:  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

We live in an extremely perilous time so-far-as churches are concerned.

Are you aware of this?  If so these exhortations in this book will be like a cool glass of water in a great desert.

Preface: Vol. 9


Gal. 5:19-21   Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness (defrauding others for personal gain), lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance (debating), emulations (striving to outdo others), wrath (desire for revenge), strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Jesus told the woman taken in adultery: "Go, and sin no more." Jn. 8

She was not condemned by Jesus, but she could no longer continue in her sin.

And Paul explains that those who continue in such sins "shall not inherit the kingdom of God."

It is my experience that after we are born again, we want to know about God. We want to hear things of God. We do not want to sin as we once did.

We must keep that original fire for God burning inside us. We throw another log on the fire each time we choose to go in a godly way, keeping our flesh "down", not allowing ourselves to hate and strive as this world does.

Therefore Jesus says: Watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation ... the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak ... Mt. 26:41

"Watch" ... we feel our flesh about to rise up to exalt itself. We feel that hatred against another person. We feel that we are about to strive over something. We cannot afford to fall asleep to this. Instead we stay watchful so that we can take immediate action to stop our own flesh from doing what it wants to do. We begin praying immediately, as soon as we see this is about to happen, asking God to keep us from saying that which our own flesh wants to say ... or praying asking not to let us do that which our flesh wants to do.  Thus we control our flesh through God by prayer and by acting on anything shown us by the Holy Spirit.  We overcome through God.  This is the only way to overcome our own flesh.  But it works every time.  God will not fail us when we really want to do HIS will.

"God ... please don't let me say that ... Please don't let me do that ..."

When I take this action against my flesh, I find God always overcomes my flesh and honors my prayer!

Be aware: We never get to the point where the flesh is better ... Flesh does not improve ... Flesh just sits there waiting for the opportunity to take over and exalt itself.

Our responsibility is to keep that flesh under the control of God, not allowing the flesh to speak and to do as it once did. To do this, we must stay alert.

Paul explained it as follows:

I Cor. 9:24-27    Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

God tells us the following in Hebrews 10

22-26 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for HE is faithful that promised;)

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

As we wait for the return of Jesus for the church, we need to surround ourselves daily with godly exhortations, doctrine, Bible!

Paul once said to Timothy:

I Tim. 4:13   Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

As the world gets worse, godly thinking can slip unless we keep our minds on what God has to say about the issues of this life. Though we know doctrine, we need to refresh our minds to doctrine as presented in Bible, for this world and the churches today so often promote "another doctrine". We must focus on the real doctrine of Christ from the Bible, not on the counterfeit doctrine.

The following exhortations are given to us by the Spirit of God to help us in a time like this.

*9/1 ... Divorce and Remarriage After Divorce ... The Doctrine of Christ


Jesus said:  Mt. 5:32 ... But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery:and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

- The husband who divorces a faithful wife, will be the cause of her adultery if she remarries.


- The faithful wife who has been divorced by her husband will commit adultery if she remarries.

- The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

The apostle Paul said the following instruction is the "commandment of the Lord" in the New Testament Church.


I Cor. 7 ... 10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

There are many perversions taught today in churches concerning the subject of remarriage after divorce.


We must cling to the doctrine presented in Bible and reject all deviations.

It is very important for us to re-read doctrine from Bible over and over.

We see perversions of doctrine as the churches today cast aside scripture to approve man and increase the size of the church group, and as TV presents approval of man putting down truth of God.  

Therefore we keep truth of God before our eyes and in our minds by re-reading those doctrines of God.

*9/2 ... Enter Ye In At The Strait Gate


Jesus says to us:

Mt. 7:13-14 ... Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The strait gate:

- ONE GOD, the creator of heaven, earth and all therein

- ONE LORD:  Jesus Christ who died for our sins and was raised from dead by God and sits at right hand of God and intercedes for us

- ONE FAITH

- ONE BAPTISM:

Romans 6:3-13 ... Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into HIS death?  Therefore we are buried with HIM by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of HIS death, we shall be also in the likeness of HIS resurrection:  Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with HIM, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.  For he that is dead is freed from sin. 

Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with HIM:  Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over HIM.  For in that HE died, HE died unto sin once: but in that HE liveth, HE liveth unto God. 

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

There is a strong movement in the world today where all "faiths" should be friends and tolerate one another and "fellowship" with one another... "one church movement".  There are ads on TV showing such where the Buddhist and Christian are great friends and yet worship their gods in their own way.  There is even a physical building proposed where all faiths can worship their gods in one building.

This is impossible for true Christians.

I Peter 1:13-21 ...  Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:  But as HE which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;  Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:  WHO verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, WHO by HIM do believe in God, that raised HIM up from the dead, and gave HIM glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

I Peter 2:7-10 ... Unto you therefore which believe HE (JESUS) is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, THE SAME is made the head of the corner,  And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at THE WORD, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of HIM who hath called you out of darkness into HIS marvellous light:  Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

II Cor. 6:14-18 ... Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?  And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the LIVING God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean; and I will receive you,  And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be MY sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Antichrist would destroy with "peace" ... Daniel 8 ... One religion ... where all are friends regardless of their belief.  A world church.

Many Christian churches today in various denominations try to eliminate all things that would offend from their services. Thus they explain away scripture or just don't speak of those scripture that would divide people.  (antichrist)


But the Word of God is a two edged sword ... and when the word comes it does divide!  It separates the people called by God from the people of this world.

Jesus said ...

Luke 12:51-53 ... Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.  The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

The Word of God comes to divide us ... to separate us from the world ... to prepare a people for God ... to raise us up in the way of God ... 

This present world will never be righteousness.  It is the new heaven and the new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.  We look for that.

As we wait for Jesus' return, where we will be caught up "in the air" with the dead in Christ who are raised, we live on this earth in fellowship with God and with the righteous who are believers.  We try to live in peace and we try to be kind but we will never be one with this world and certainly not with other doctrines.

The broad gate, spoken of by Jesus in Mt. 7, is a way to destruction ... "many" go that way, approving various sins ... We can never approve sin.

I Cor. 6:9-11 ... Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.  And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

The current time, in which we live, is a dangerous time of "peace" where the world demands that everyone be approved and accepted ... homosexuals, adulterers, fornicators.

But we will never accept such.  Because we are of God and know what God says by HIS Word.

Just watch ... and do not fall asleep to the Word of God.

Light and darkness cannot co-exist ... If you want to be as the darkness, you will have to become dark.

In 1979, God gave me the following terrifying dream:

Destruction was everywhere.

A meeting was going on.  A man was speaking to a room filled with people.  I went in and began to listen.

A second man rushed in and said:  "Stop ... Wait ... Can't you see ... It's too late ... It's already begun."

The first man resumed speaking.

I looked out the window to see what had "already begun."

There was a tall pole with a yellow civil defense speaker at top of the pole.  A gas was coming out of the speaker.  I knew it was poisonous and would kill the people.  It was coming directly toward us!

The shocking thing was the speaker that was set there for the purpose of warning us was being used as the instrument which dispersed the gas that was poison and would kill us!

I looked at the man seated next to me.  He had a big grin on his face and was looking directly at the man who was speaking to the group.  But then I saw this man was a corpse, though he looked alive.  He was already dead!

I looked about the room at the other people and realized they were all dead.

As I sat back in my chair and listened to the man speaking I began to feel sleepy and I knew as I sat there among them this was killing me too.

God was showing me the anarchy that was already going on in our church groups in 1979.  Destruction was everywhere in church groups.  It is worse now.
 

*9/3 ... Confess Your Sins to God ... Settle Your Sins With Prayer to God and With Faith in God


An American Indian potter, Margaret Tafoya, told me this story.

She had 7 children and wanted them to study the Bible.  So she enrolled them in the McCurdy Mission School and removed them from the Catholic church school.

The priest called her in and told her she could not do this.

She said, "But I want my children to study the Bible."

The priest responded, "People like you don't need to read the Bible.  We will tell you what you need to know."

Margaret continued saying that she wanted her children to study Bible.


The priest then said to Margaret:  If you do this we will put you out of the Catholic church and you will never be able again to confess your sins.

(Margaret told me this with great shame.)

She said, "I don't know what came over me but I said to the priest: 'I don't have to confess my sins to a man like you.  I will confess them to the Lord.' "


I knew it was the Holy Spirit of God speaking these words through Margaret.

Confess your sins to God.  God is faithful to forgive us our sins.  Only God is able to forgive sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  Let your reassurance come from God.  Settle every problem with God.

And walk in the light of the word given you by God ...

I Jn. 1:5-7 ... This then is the message which we have heard of HIM, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in HIM is no darkness at all.  If we say that we have fellowship with HIM, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as HE is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

If you lie to people to make yourself appear better, you walk in darkness, not light.

If you commit fornication you walk in darkness.

If you hate other people and despise people and think yourself better than others, you walk in darkness.

But if we walk in HIS light, the Word, doing the Word, we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.

Confess your sin to God ... Settle everything directly with prayer to God ...

Put your faith in God ... 

Develop and keep your relationship and trust in God...

*9/4 ... Cast Your Cares on God ... Settle Your Troubles with God in Faith in God ... Develop Your Relationship With God


I Peter 5:6-7 ...Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that HE may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon HIM; for HE careth for you.

There is such joy and peace when we turn to God with our problems and HE shows us what to do.  There is then an anchor for our soul.

And when we have such an experience with God in dealing with our problems we have a foundation upon which to continue, knowing God will help us.

And God knows everything about us and about the problem.  God is able to deal with the problem.  A friend might care about us and our trouble but not be able to help us.  But God is able and will help us when we turn to HIM and have faith in HIM.

Paul says:   Phil. 4:19 ... But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

And God says:  I will never fail thee nor forsake thee ... Josh. 1:5 & Heb. 13:5

Here is another promise showing God will help us.


James 1:5 ...  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
 



*9/5 ... We Who Are Born of God


The apostle John said the outstanding truth about those born of God ... John said:

I Jn. 5:18-21 ... We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
 

And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
 

And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know HIM that is true, and we are in HIM that is true, even in HIS Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
 

Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

We, who are born of God, keep ourselves by the Spirit of God who dwells in us.  We feel our flesh trying to rise up and be offended and be angry, but we refuse to allow our flesh to rule over us as we once did.

Paul describes it as "keeping under our body" ... or keeping our flesh under the control of the Spirit of God.

Galatians 5:16-26 ...This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.  For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh:and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.  But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
 

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,  Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance:against such there is no law.  And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.  Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Those things the world covets seem so strange to us who are born of the Spirit of God.

We know "our kingdom" is not of this world.  (Jn. 18)

We look for new heavens and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.  (II Peter 3) We know this present earth will never be righteous.  We set our goal to live in peace while we remain here and to keep ourselves without spot by choosing the way of God over the way of the flesh.

We are kind to those persons we once hated and despised, knowing we have been spared by mercy of God.

We purpose to do no ill to another person.

We speak truth of God in love given opportunity.

Because we are children of God now, we do all these things opposite to our flesh.

We are new creations, born of God by HIS Spirit, given HIS Spirit, separated from the world by the will of God.

Live in peace!  Be continually thankful to God.

*9/6 ... Perfection Through Patience


James 1:2-4 … My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;  Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.  But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing

The apostle is saying that trials of this life give us an opportunity to develop patience. Therefore we rejoice in these trials, knowing a work of God in us is being accomplished in the trial.

And James goes on to say the following:

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

To endure the trial and receive full benefit from the trial, you may need wisdom … Ask God for wisdom and it will be given you.

I find it very important to endure the situation and often I will feel myself getting frustrated and my flesh will want to lash out at the person causing the trial.

At that point, if I will pray, God always helps me to endure with patience.

Often I find myself saying, “Please help me to wait patiently.”

There is often the temptation to tell someone off … I frequently pray to God, “Please don’t let me do that.” (God always stops my flesh when I pray such.)

The “delay” which tries us is often needless and we are aware of that and it tests us further to know the person behind the delay could end the delay but neglects our need. Anger and bitterness often tries to surface and take over. (works of our flesh)

I find prayer to be critical in keeping my body under control in such trials.

So often these are little trials but bring big disturbance to us if possible.

For example:   December, 2016 … the heater on my car stopped working. That was on a Saturday. Monday I took car to my mechanic and left car with him. I told him it would be fine if he couldn’t get to repair the car until the next day.

I didn’t hear anything at all from him on Tuesday. When I would go to mailbox in front of my house I was careful to carry phone so I would not miss his call. I was slightly stressed throughout the entire day and night, being sure I had my phone with me.

Wednesday, I went through the same type of stress, waiting for his call, not wanting to miss his call.

I prayed often during this time for God to keep my flesh under control and God did that but it took many prayers to keep control.

At 5 pm on Wednesday, I called mechanic. I asked him if he had an opportunity yet to look at my car. He told me what was wrong with car and he would call me the next morning. (When car was ready, he would have to bring it to me.)

I usually sleep with phone turned off so I will not be awakened. But not wanting to miss mechanic’s call, I turned phone on. I’m sure I didn’t sleep as soundly as usual. And I awoke earlier than usual. There was no call that morning.

(continued in prayer … often people tell you they will do something and do not do what they say. This is another temptation for us to become upset and let our flesh get control and tell them off. We do not want to live this way. So when tempted we pray and depend on God to help us deal with our own flesh.)

Mechanic called shortly after 1 pm on Wednesday asking me, “Are you ready for your car?” I told him I was and he came and picked me up.

It was over!

But unlike some previous experiences, there was a victory over my flesh through many prayers and through a desire to control my own flesh and an understanding of the temptation caused by this situation.

The next day, my computer would not connect to the internet. I called the man who does my computer work and he tried to walk me through the problem. This was a Saturday so I would be without internet until he could come to my house on the following Monday. I scheduled an appointment.

Wisdom from God came to me: I realized I would be able to do the writings you are now reading even without the internet. I could put the writing onto a Word Document on my computer and when I got my internet back, transfer this writing to the blog.

There was a way to allow me to continue doing the work the 3 days the internet was down. And that is what I did. So waiting for Randy to come get me connected was much less a problem for me.

All trials allow us to be perfected in patience.

James 1

4  But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Let patience have her perfect work endure the trial of life through prayer and by doing the wisdom shown you from God until the end of the trial.

Control your own body, your own flesh, through prayer. Also we must recognize the temptation and choose to overcome by prayer rather than giving into resentment that these things are happening to us.

I believe this is what Paul was talking about when he spoke of “keeping his body under”, in the following scripture.

*9/7 ... Learning to Wait on God ... Learning to Trust in God


When a problem comes, our flesh often panics!

We must learn to trust in God, to turn to God, to wait on God for the way to go.

This not only provides the answer for us on this earth, but it develops our faith in God, a spirit.

We want to turn to the seen, not the unseen.  But the answer is from the unseen.

We must learn to trust God more than we trust ourselves and other humans.

As we try to figure out what to do, often we "spin our wheels" digging ourselves deeper into a hole, doing various things that are unwise and doing things that just do not work.

When we take the problem to God in prayer, and be still until HE opens our eyes to see what to do, then we have a sure thing.

The apostle Paul said he came to the church with the testimony of God ... sharing things with the church that had power of God, rather than sharing the wisdom of men.   I Cor.2

In what I have shared here, there is the power of God for those who catch on and learn to control the flesh and really turn to God and put trust in God.

God's way is often very different from our way.

Pam Padgett told a remarkable story of a time she was in college.  She fell into a trap of agreeing to go to a fraternity party, 20 miles out of town.

When she wanted to get out of going to this, recognizing it would be evil, she turned to God and asked HIM to give her appendicitis so she would be in hospital and not be able to go.  (Pam's way of escape for herself.)

But God had a better way of escape for her. 

The day of the event, it began to rain.  The rain increased as the day progressed.  By afternoon, there was so much rain that the event had to be cancelled!


Pam was free and she didn't have to do anything except trust God to work it out.

A man in our little church group was considering putting a second storage building up to store his stuff.


As he thought on this, the following came to his mind:  "Why don't you just get rid of the stuff?"

We, who hear this story, marvel at the great wisdom given by God and the simplicity of God's wisdom.

At one point, I played duplicate bridge.  I wanted to get out of this.  Through some events I did break away.  But then there was nothing for me to do with my time.  I knew it was not going to work for me to try to find secular activities in my town. I didn't even try to do so.

I just stayed very still, talking to God about the situation.

I waited approximately 7 months ... Then God gave me a dream showing me what to do.  In the dream, a woman was singing.  I said, "It's a little voice ... but it's a nice little voice."  Then people were talking and I saw this was a way for the church to communicate with one another and then I realized it was an Internet blog.

Immediately I called Pam Padgett (former computer programmer at Fed Ex).  I asked Pam if she could set up a blog for us where we could share with the church.  Pam explored this and within 3 days had set up our blog and we were writing exhortations daily for the church.  Blog:  Jesus Ministries Exhortations

It was amazing, far beyond anything we could have ever imagined!

The blog allowed us to share daily.  We could even correct typo mistakes after the exhortation had already been published.  The writing went out instantly.  It cost us nothing to do this.  The blog was free to us and to all who wanted to read what we said.  There was no limitation.  We could write as much as we wanted.

And none of us thought about the fact that the blog went all over the world! 

The first day the writing was published, two people from Germany had viewed the blog.  We were so shocked, never thinking of this writing going all over this world ... "World Wide Web" ...  WWW

All we were doing was acting upon that which God had shown me in that dream.

We continually marvel at this instrument of a blog given to us to communicate things of God with the church all over the world.

God has ways for us to go that we could never imagine and HIS ways are so much better than anything our minds are able to construct!

Also the wisdom from God, the way from God, is simple and easy and merciful!

James 3:17 ... But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy

So we learn to take our situation, problem, to God ... To talk with God in prayer ... To wait for the answer.


*9/8 ... Rewards From God


The apostle Paul speaks of works whereby God will give "rewards" to man.

I Cor. 3:9-15 ... For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.  According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.  For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;  Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.  If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

The only thing any of us can build on is "Jesus Christ" ... "THE WORD".

That "word" we hear from the Spirit of God is that which we must do on this present earth.

If we build on that word, the word from the Holy Spirit, then the work is authored by God that we do on this earth.

For doing "that word", the word given us by the Spirit of God, we receive reward from God.

We are as that faithful servant who watches and waits for the word and when the word is given him, he acts upon that word.

Jesus explains: 

Mt. 7:21-27 ... Not every one that saith unto ME, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of MY Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to ME in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in THY name? and in THY name have cast out devils? and in THY name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from ME, ye that work iniquity.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of MINE, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

And every one that heareth these sayings of MINE, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

The Holy Spirit of God who dwells in us gives us the word God would have us do.

I Cor. 2:9-13 ... But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.  But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

We, who are of God, are like servants in a great house.  We have our assignments as to where we are to serve.  We work in that area, carefully attending to our "duty", to our assignment from God.

And we watch for God's instruction to us ... and we wait for God's instruction ... then we faithfully do that which God instructs.

When this is the case, all things (our works) are of God and not of ourselves.  


Concerning rewards from God: 

Several years ago, I was given the following dream.  I entered an auditorium type room.  My mother and my aunt were sitting in the center of an aisle in the center of the auditorium seating.  I went onto the stage where a concert band was sitting.  Someone showed me where I was to sit in the band.  It was first chair, first clarinet.  I told the man to put me somewhere at the back of the band.  I was concerned I wouldn't be good enough and that seating in a concert band is the highest position in the band and the person sitting there is in a seat of responsibility and honor.  The man said, "No this is reserved for you."   (I felt it was some type of reward.)

But as I live on this earth, I'm often concerned that my work might not be "good enough".  (Then I often have that dream brought to my attention.) 

The main thing for each of us: 

We seek God, wait until we believe we have heard from God, and do that which we believe God shows us to do.  If it is of God and we build on that word, we receive reward.

Paul says, our works will be tried in the fire and if those works "remain" we will receive reward.

If the works are destroyed in the fire, we will be saved, yet as by fire.  I Cor. 3

But I know the works must be authored by the Spirit of God, not by the letter of the law.

You could build on a scripture and still be wrong.  How?  The Spirit must be the one who led you and not your own fleshly mind!

All works done by our fleshly thinking will be burned in the fire.

Paul explains:  I Cor. 13:3 ... And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

It is a great mystery but the Spirit of God must be the author of our works.  

We could read a scripture and do that scripture and not have the Spirit of God showing us that scripture and it would profit nothing.

God authors the works that are HIS by HIS Spirit.
