Antichrist comes to take the place of God.
The Faith Movement teaches you to find a scripture and to stand by faith. But by faith in whom, in what? Faith in that verse of scripture which you found by looking for a verse?
But what about God? What about hearing from God by the Holy Spirit concerning the matter at hand. What about the will of God?
There are a great many scriptures which we can claim and stand on but the real power of God lies in those times the Holy Spirit calls to our mind a scripture for this is the will of God for us and we have assurance when it is the Holy Spirit doing the work.
Antichrist sits in the temple of God showing himself to be god.
II Thessalonians 2 ... NASB ... Let no one in any way deceive you, for it (the day of the LORD) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
KJV ... Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

If you can control everything by finding a verse of scripture and claiming that verse daily and believing for what is in that verse to protect you and your family and to get what you want, why would you need God. You have become as God.
If you can control things that would hurt your house ... weather and such ... and have all authority over the devil by using the name of Jesus and you think disease is of devil, why would you need to ask God for help?

This Faith Movement is the primary example of antichrist in the church today, although there are many other churches who are also antichrist, removing scripture and changing doctrine to gain attendance at their church groups.

In trying to find a church to attend, I've encountered antichrist pastors in several non-denominational church, in Baptist, Church of Christ ... In each case, pastors have removed parts of scripture, omitted all mention of certain scripture which conflicts with their church doctrine, explained away scripture to cause it to fit their doctrine especially to gain attendance at their churches. This is antichrist in the church. When the scripture is removed, even in small portions, the restraint against lawlessness is removed and antichrist is able to move in and lawlessness can flourish inside the church. This apostasy is what we are seeing all around in our churches today.

In the Faith Movement, if you try what they teach and you fail to achieve what you desire, you are said to have weak faith.
I've never heard anyone say: "This teaching is wrong."
It is wrong.
It has a very deceptive "form of godliness" ... but it leaves God and the Holy Spirit out as they learn to take authority by use of scripture authored by a hunt by their own flesh.

In the early 80's, they were teaching you that you have authority over ice storms, wind, hail and other weather events which might harm your property.
At that time, a major storm hit the gulf coast with much loss of property and lives. I wondered then why these great men of faith allowed this to happen. Why didn't they take authority over such as they were teaching at that point in time? They didn't because they couldn't. Wind, hail, lightning rain is from God.
Isaiah 45:5-6 ... I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known ME: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside ME. I am the Lord, and there is none else. I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

God hardened Pharaoh's heart so God's glory could be shown the children of Israel through the various miracles.
God caused the angel of death to visit the homes of all except those marked by the blood which the angel passed over while the firstborn in every other home was killed.
God's will was for Jesus to die on a cross.
God permitted Herod to behead John the Baptist.
God says:
Isaiah 55 ... For MY thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways MY ways, saith the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY ways higher than your ways, and MY thoughts than your thoughts.
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall MY word be that goeth forth out of MY mouth: it shall not return unto ME void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

The restraint was the scripture. When portions of scripture were removed from the church, lawlessness moved into the churches ... thus the apostasy in the churches.

In 1979, God gave me the following terrifying dream:
Destruction was everywhere.
I went into a meeting room where a meeting was going on. A man was speaking to a room filled with people. I went in and began to listen.
A second man rushed in and said: "Stop ... Wait ... Can't you see ... It's too late ... It's already begun."
The first man resumed speaking.

I looked out the window to see what had "already begun."
There was a tall pole with a yellow civil defense speaker at top of the pole. A gas was coming out of the speaker. I knew it was poisonous and would kill the people. It was coming directly toward us!
The shocking thing was the speaker that was set there for the purpose of warning us was being used as the instrument which dispersed the gas that was poison and would kill us!
I looked at the man seated next to me. He had a big grin on his face and was looking directly at the man who was speaking to the group. But then I saw this man was a corpse, though he looked alive. He was already dead!
I looked about the room at the other people and realized they were all dead.
As I sat back in my chair and listened to the man speaking I began to feel sleepy and I knew as I sat there among them this was killing me too.
God was showing me the anarchy in the church groups, at the time of the dream, 1979. The destruction in the churches was everywhere, even at that time. And it is much worse today.
